Load Safety

When securing anything to the outside of your vehicle, it is your responsibility to ensure that the load is secure for the safety of yourself and others. MAC Ute Accessories Ltd can not be held responsible for any damage or loss caused due to a load not being secured to your MAC Ute lid correctly, the below information is being provided as some helpful tips and tricks to ensure when you are loading up your MAC Ute Lid, you are securing the items safely and securely. Always ensure you are not overloading the payload of your vehicle and are in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers specifications.

MAC Ute Lids are designed to be tough. It is important that the recommended load rating for the lid you have purchased is adhered to and anything that is being carried on the lid is secured properly. The warning label / maintenance and care sticker on the underside of your hard lid will confirm what the maximum load rating of your MAC Ute hard lid is if you are unsure.

With the MAC230F and MAC230FR (Max 230kg static / 200kg secured) hard lids purchased with tracks fitted, we supply 4 x tie down points with 2 straps. The MAC300 (Max 300kg) hard lid is not supplied with any tie down kit but has 8 integrated load securing locations in the fixed rails. Be careful not to over tension any tie downs or strops as this could cause damage or distortion to your hard lid which is not covered under our warranty policy.

There are numerous accessories available to help with load securing, we recommend the Rhino Rack range of products. Their specifications on load capacities for each of their products is noted on their fitting instructions.
